We might want to talk sometime about web surfing resting your mind. I think surfing stimulates the mind and actually makes your mind feel more “buzzy” afterward and less rested. I think I’m playing here with the idea that I can stand back from the shiny objects and let them whiz by without needing to collect them, track them, read them, which has been my experience of meditation.

Bravo! Well written and great use of sources, us usual. However, I find it hard to imagine how web surfing could serve as meditation, the former stimulating my mind while the later gives my mind must needed respite.

And thank you for teaching me how to let go of so many bytes so quickly each day.

Mike, these are really engaging and thought-provoking posts. Reading part one prompted me to contend with three mugs of pens and pencils that had been sitting for ages on a nearby shelf. At least half the pens no longer wrote. Not exactly the clutter you’re writing about, but what you wrote did the trick, so thanks.
