My name is Mike Brown and I’m enrolled in the Master’s of Science in Information Science (MSIS) program at UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Information and Library Science (SILS). I work full-time as a technical writer in Research Triangle Park, NC, and am currently contracting for a government agency.
This blog is a simple way for me to process information: the readings I do, thoughts I have, tips and tricks I run across, and any other ephemera that whistles past me. I at first thought I’d do this in a paper notebook, but I like the immediacy and public nature of blogs, and I hope this will become a nice trajectory of my thoughts as I develop from who I was to who I will be.
